Project Background:
Directed the design development and technical execution for a custom M·A·C Cosmetics concession space within Harrods London. The project required translating conceptual brand pillars into a functional physical environment within one of the world’s most high-volume luxury department stores.
Project Goals:
Conceptual Brand Expression: Develop a distinct visual footprint that translates M·A·C’s core pillars into an elevated, high-end retail format.
Studio-to-Concept Translation: Convert avant-garde ideas from the internal creative team into technical 3D renderings and comprehensive spatial representations.
Guideline Integration: Ensure the initial fixture concepts and material kit selections align with both the brand’s aesthetic standards and Harrods’ strict luxury criteria.
Project Role:
- Design Ideation: Translated raw creative studio concepts and sketches into detailed 3D models, visualizations, and spatial representations.
- Fixture Concept Development: Developed the initial spatial layout and custom loose fixture concepts, ensuring all designs adhered to strict travel retail and department store height and sightline parameters.
- Material Kit Curation: Developed the foundational material palette, fixture finishes, and integrated lighting concepts required to define the premium aesthetic of the concession before final handoff.
