Venue: Brooklyn Museum Of History
Dates: May 2015
Audience: General public & school personal (students, teachers)
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NY

Design Rationale: The goal of this project is to design a wayfinding system for the Brooklyn Museum of History. Signage design will guide visitors and everyday users through the building while surrounding them with fundamental elements of design.

Communication Strategies: The Brooklyn Museum Of History will be given an identity. There will be a large sign to help identify the building. Inside the building visitors will be greeted by a large directory and map. Directories located at each of the main entrances and staircases will serve as the first step in the visitors wayfinding. Large floor to ceiling directional signage will further aid the visitor to their destination and information signs in the form of room identification plaques will confirm the visitors location.
